Job Description: As a Senior Residential Support Worker or Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to children with learning disabilities or EBD within a residential setting. You will work closely with the management team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support, promoting the welfare and development of residents in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with their daily living activities, personal care, and emotional well-being.
Foster positive relationships with residents, promoting independence, choice, and dignity.
Support the implementation of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of each resident.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care interventions, observations, and incidents.
Undertake sleep-in duties as required, providing overnight support and assistance to residents as needed.
Act as a positive role model for staff and residents, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusion. Requirements:
Previous experience working within a residential care setting, ideally with children with learning disabilities or EBD.
Relevant qualifications in health and social care or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective working relationships.
A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable children and young people, promoting their well-being and development.
Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Benefits:
