Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Continuing learning and remaining current on departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Binnies policies and procedures
· Supports continuous improvement and applies knowledge
Prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables, performing complex research and give recommendations for equipment and materials
· Collect, assimilate and manage data for engineering work
· Prepare engineering calculations following standard methods and principles
· Understand and adhere to budget, schedule and quality requirements
· Assign and coordinate tasks with internal and external team members
· Actively seek to understand client drivers through client visits and project leadership
· Share knowledge of latest technology and processes
· May assist with training and mentoring of junior/graduate engineers.
Person Specification:
· Civil Bsc or Msc Degree in relevant subjects
.Water experience – desirable
· Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team of internal professionals, and third party asset owners, stakeholders, technical officers and contractors.
· Understand the importance of budget and programme control
· Ability to work under time pressure and balance multiple priorities
· Ability to design, plan and organise tasks with excellent attention to detail
· Ability to liaise with internal and external clients to develop relationships across the business.
