Key Accountabilities:
Owner of the financial control framework that wraps around retailer trade spend – playing a key role in ensuring that customer promotional costs are accrued at the right time, in the right way and to correct levels.
Responsible for monthly Customer Financial Reporting and Analysis (Customer P&Ls, Volume/Rate/Mix Analysis, Tradex Risks and Opportunities identification)
Deliver robust month-end NNS/Trading GM estimates
Key role in ensuring delivery of robust full year customer profit forecasts with clear visibility of risks and opportunities
Responsible for all Financial Analysis and evaluation (pre and post) on all elements of customer investment to maximise Return on Investment (ROI)
Finance Business Partner to the Sales teams responsible for the Multiples, Discounters, High Street, Growth & Export channels.
Develop a solid understanding of Promax trade promotion management system and processes, taking an active role in the Promax working group, partnering with the Commercial team super users
Knowledge / Qualifications:
Degree level education
Studying towards accounting qualification would be preferable but not essential
Key Attributes and Competencies:
SAP experience highly preferable but not essential
Advanced excel skills, pivot tables and data manipulation is essential
Strong analytical skills with the ability to present financials in a clear and impactful manner
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ‘can do’ approach
Ability to work under pressure within deadlines, managing own time and utilizing initiative
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders to gather data, disseminate insights and manage requests
Proven ability to influence senior financial and non-financial people alike and build strong relationships across a multi-site business
Confident in challenging stakeholders to maintain a healthy level of tension
