We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team here at PZ Cussons, on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

The Role
We are looking for a commercial-oriented and forwarding thinking individual with strong analytical and excel skills, is able to work under pressure and is confident in their methods of communication and working with multiple stakeholders. You will be reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance; this role is expected to partner, to a high standard, the sales teams of PZUK that are responsible for the Grocers, Discounters, High Street, E-commerce & Export channels.
Duties/Accountabilities
Your main duties will involve (but not limited to):
Owner of the financial control framework that wraps around retailer trade spend – playing a key role in ensuring that customer promotional costs are accrued at the right time, in the right way and to correct levels. Responsible for monthly Customer Financial Reporting and Analysis (Customer P&Ls, Volume/Rate/Mix Analysis, Tradex Risks and Opportunities identification) Deliver robust month-end NNS/Trading GM estimates Key role in ensuring delivery of robust full year customer profit forecasts with clear visibility of risks and opportunities Responsible for all Financial Analysis and evaluation on all elements of customer investment to maximise Return on Investment (ROI) Finance Business Partner to the Sales teams responsible for the Multiples, Discounters, High Street, Growth & Export channels. Develop a solid understanding of Promax trade promotion management system and processes, taking an active role in the Promax working group, partnering with the Commercial team super users Ongoing performance review and development of 4 Direct Reports Key Attributes/Skills:
Qualified Accountant 5+ years PQE minimum Commercial finance experience in either a Retail / FMCG environment is essential SAP experience highly preferable but not essential Advanced excel skills, pivot tables and data manipulation is essential Strong analytical skills with the ability to present financials in a clear and impactful manner Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ‘can do’ approach Ability to work under pressure within deadlines, managing own time and utilizing initiative Highly organized multi tasker who can effectively delegate tasks and follow up to ensure completion Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders to gather data, disseminate insights and manage requests Ability to understand operational and commercial priorities Proven ability to influence senior financial and non-financial people alike and build strong relationships across a multi-site business Confident in challenging stakeholders to maintain a healthy level of tension Ability to work at both a detailed & strategic level
