Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
Summary of Role
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and hard-working Data Engineer. The role will report directly into the Solution Architect in IT Team and will play a key role in developing & maintaining data pipelines, support existing Power BI Reports. The data analytics and reporting team will be responsible for supporting the business by providing the internal reporting requirements and data analytics involved to provide actionable insights to further improve business decisions and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure synapse Analytics.
- Experience in working with Power BI datasets and data model.
- Understand the business operating model by discussing with the Leads to make sure key metrics and KPIs are understood and delivered in Data warehouse layer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop data pipelines.
- Develop and implement data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Support the Reporting team to ensure best practices are applied and data engineering requirements are met.
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
Key Requirements
- 5 + years of experience in building and maintaining Data warehouse.
- Experience in data flows in Azure data factory, Azure Synapse Analytics
- Strong experience in writing complex queries using T-SQL.
- Strong experience with API based integrations.
- Document data architectures, ETL processes, and configurations on Azure.
- Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles.
- Experience in working closely with Power BI / Report developers in helping understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions.
- Experience in Power BI and DAX.
- Experience in Logic Apps, Azure functions & Power Platform is an added advantage.
- Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive and a committed team player
