EMEA CAPITAL PLANNING LEAD | CLIENT-SIDE (BANKING)Up to £100,000 per annum plus excellent bonus | LondonI am working on behalf of one of the world's leading real estate businesses, which has an exclusive role available on the client-side, heading up the capital planning for one of their dedicated accounts for a banking client.In this role, you will be supporting and growing Capital Planning, Cost, and Commercial Management, as well as assurance services, including Capital Planning and Capex Management within the EMEA region to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. You will be responsible for leading capital project planning and commercial management support for all EMEA projects, taking the lead on capital planning.Key Responsibilities Support the EMEA PMO in managing and reporting the commercial performance of all capital projects, leading on annual capital planning, commercial initiatives (e.g. benchmarking, procurement etc.) and continuous improvement across all EMEA projects and PMO workstreams. Responsible for compiling financial reports and summarizing analysis; ensure the completeness and accuracy of data/information received and produced. Focus on reducing reliance on external consultants and building a dedicated on-account cost team.Lead the PMO Capital Planning, Cost and Commercial Team including management of external cost/commercial relationshipsStrategic commercial and procurement advice and support to client stakeholdersSupport the EMEA PjM lead and projects teams (including internal and external cost managers) on reporting monthly projects' commercial performanceSupport the EMEA PjM lead and projects teams in creating and managing capital plans with the capital planning teamSupport the PjM lead on tracking changes in preparation for monthly project reportingCoordinate and lead project commercial support on all necessary data inputs and integrityReview project budgets/estimates to ensure accuracy of cost type allocations and commitments/spends (Capital v Expense)Support PjM data excellence, review data accuracy across various systemsBuild a benchmarking database to maintain a relevant estimating tool for all project typesContinuous improvement initiativesEssential Skills/ Requirements Strategic leadership capabilities with experience in leading diverse internal and external commercial teamsdegree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent combination of education and work experienceMember of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) an advantageMinimum ten (10) years' experience related to all aspects of leading complex Commercial/Cost Management teams in relation to Project Management or Quantity SurveyingAbility to engage the organization, the customer and key stakeholders and establish a high level of credibilityAbility to handle multiple tasks, manage time effectively and establish priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environmentIf you are interested in more information, please reach out to Annabel a.drew@capstone-recruitment.com
