The Role
At Realise, we’re searching for people who are passionate about developing and supporting our learners to fulfil their potential with our literacy and numeracy programmes. Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Functional Skills Tutor to join the Functional Skills team.
Please note that this opportunity is subject to contract win.
Whilst we can’t promise that every day will be the same, your key responsibilities are likely to be:
- Ensure the successful completion, achievement and progression of all learners studying literacy and numeracy skills
- Organise, plan, deliver, and evaluate teaching, learning and assessment at Level 2, as well as the timely completion of related administration using our e-portfolio systems
- This role will mainly be based at home, but you will be expected from time to time to see learners in their place of work
- You will be expected to teach learners both on a 121 basis and in group teaching sessions
- Ability and willingness to respond positively and effectively to change and innovation
- To build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships with all clients

About You
- Have a minimum of GCSE Grade 4/C for Maths and English, or equivalent
- Experience of delivering Functional Skills at Level 2
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS) or be willing to work towards
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices and legislation
- Experience and confidence in virtual/online delivery
