HSE & Facilities Manager - Manufacturing - Responsibilities and Accountabilities - Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management systems.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments – including COSHH.
- Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and industry best practices.
- Provide training on safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Investigate accidents and develop preventive measures.
- Maintain records related to compliance and incidents.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness plans.
- Manage procurement and maintenance of safety equipment.
- Oversee facility maintenance and operation, including building, utilities and infrastructure.
- Develop and manage budgets for initiatives.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and vendors.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff.
- Assign repair schedules and evaluate costs.
- Ensure department workers adhere to safety policies.
HSE & Facilities Manager - Manufacturing - Desired Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, facilities management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, CIEH
- Proven experience in a manufacturing/production setting
- Facilities management experience and knowledge of OSHA, EPA.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Proficiency in relevant software.
