Role Overview:
As a full-time KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting classroom educators and delivering targeted interventions to students in Key Stage 1. Working closely with small groups of children who require a boost in their learning, you will employ your expertise in running interventions to help them excel. Some children may have English as an Additional Language (EAL) or English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), making your proficiency in ESOL or TEFL a valuable asset.
Responsibilities:
* Assist classroom educators in delivering engaging lessons and providing individualized support to students in Key Stage 1.
* Run targeted interventions to support underperforming students or those with special educational needs, ensuring their academic progress and success.
* Work collaboratively with small groups of children, tailoring interventions to meet their specific needs and learning goals.
* Provide assistance in English and Maths, helping students build foundational skills and confidence in these subjects.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional well-being of all students.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Prior experience running interventions and supporting students in an educational setting, particularly in Key Stage 1.
* Strong grasp of the UK curriculum, with proficiency in English and Maths.
* Certification in ESOL or TEFL is highly desirable, given the potential presence of EAL or ESOL students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders.
Location and Hours:
Located in Finchley, our school offers a welcoming environment with modern facilities and dedicated staff. This full-time position operates from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, providing ample opportunities to make a positive impact on students' academic progress and well-being.
