THE POSITION:
Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs?
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Secondary SEND school in the North Bristol area.
The school are in need of an experienced LSA to join them on a long-term basis, until the end of the school year and potentially into the new academic year. We are particularly looking for individuals who have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to quickly establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils, effectively reengaging them within the classroom. As an SEN TA at the school, you will be required to work with students on a 1:1, small group and general basis and be on hand to provide support to the class teacher where needed.
The role involves encouraging and facilitating pupils’ learning, keeping them on task at all times and enabling them to make rapid progress. You will promote positive behaviour in line with school policies at all times and support the pupil according to individual needs. The successful candidate will be working with students with behavioural difficulties and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, so prior experience within this field is essential.
