The School of Mathematics, jointly with the School of Physics & Astronomy, are seeking to appoint to the Maxwell Fellowship in Public Engagement.
The Opportunity:
The primary responsibility of the fellowship holder is to generate public engagement with fundamental concepts and applications of mathematics and physics, reaching a global and diverse audience. The holder of the Fellowship will also be expected to pursue a program of original research in mathematics, theoretical physics or their applications, and to contribute to teaching in both Schools.
Your skills and attributes for success:
distinguished record in mathematics/mathematical physics superb communicator with extensive experience of public speaking and lecturing able to deliver complex information to largely non-specialist audiences research track record of high international standing evidence of excellent teaching
