National Account Manager - Grocery & Discounter TeamThe Pet Food Category is worth more than £4bn in the UK.The Pet Care Market is an exciting and buoyant category seeing growth +8%PETS CHOICE are one of the fastest growing Pet Food manufacturers in the UK, growing ahead of the Market +12% and we are now seeking an additional National Account Manager to join our Grocery Sales team!This role is home based, with regular travel to our Head Office in Blackburn. Frequent travel is also required for customer meetings at Retailer UK Head Offices. Responsibilities include: Manage, network and develop relationships with your National AccountsDevelop and execute the plan and brand strategies with existing account portfolio in line with company objectivesIncrease distribution and visibility of products within the account baseDevelop new business within account baseResponsible for the delivery of internal targets with focus on profitable growthPromotional plan implementation in line with strategy and customer planUnderstand commercial impact – Pricing, promotions, and Investment etc.Negotiate trading terms, pricing, range reset opportunities, JBP’s and cost increase where relevantDevelop, implement, and execute clear JBP’s with customer base ensuring focus on key measures for customer base and internal targets for Pets ChoiceCollaborate with internal teams with focus on account specific objectivesProvide clear internal and external analysis of reports with focus on performance measuresStrong execution with retailers of NPD plans with clear implementation of support plansFocus on forecasting, internal communication and understanding of retailer supply demandsDevelop internal and customer presentationsFocus on category-based rationale and track competitor activity RequirementsStrong commercial and negotiation skillsNational Account Management experience gained from a FMCG environmentAbility to influence and build strong relationships internally and externallySolution FocusedCreative and EntrepreneurialAbility to analyse and utilise dataStrong Drive & Energy levelsAttention to detailPersistent and resilientSelf-motivated with ‘Can do and Positive’ attitudeFocus on continuous improvement for the business and personal ambitionsAbility to work flexibly with UK wide travel and regular travel to our Blackburn Head Office
