Power Capacitors Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Panel Wireman to join the team.
Location: Birmingham, UK
Salary: £38K - £45K per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Contracted Hours: 39 hours per week (4 or 5 days by agreement)
Panel Wireman – The Role:
The manufacture and testing of Power Factor Correction (PFC) and Power Quality Cubicles and equipment. The Panel Builder will work between 6am and 5pm to a total of 39 hours over 4 or 5 weekdays.
Panel Wireman – Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly, wiring and testing of PFC and Power Quality equipment, within expected timeframes, and compliant with company procedures
- Liaise with Operations Manager as required
- Administer and implement consistent manufacturing procedures
- Familiarity with the Company Documented Quality System
- Comply with all Health and Safety requirements
- Work as a team and assist the other Panel Builders/Wiremen with their builds, to ensure high quality products are manufactured at all times
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all
Panel Wireman – You:
You will have some if not all of the following:
- Panel Building experience essential (e.g. switchgear, power cabling, not “fine-wiring” such as telephone/alarm systems)
- City & Guilds Parts l, ll & lll in Electrical Installation Work or equivalent
- City & Guilds BS7671: 1992 Requirements for Electrical Installations (IEE Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition)
- Appropriate Joint Industry Board (JIB)/ECS card (Gold Electrician card or Field Engineer related discipline card)
- CCNSG Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Safety Passport
- Preferably, a successfully completed electrical apprenticeship lasting at least four years
- Previous employment in a similar role would be preferable
- Experience working in line with H&S regulations
- Familiarity with MS-Office Suite desirable
