Role Overview:As a Purchasing Manager, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services to support our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and a keen understanding of market trends to contribute to our overall success.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure favorable agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide strategic procurement guidance.
- Analyse market trends and maintain awareness of industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and address any issues to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
- Monitor inventory levels and work towards optimising stock levels while minimising carrying costs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Requirements: - Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supply chain management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.
Education and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
