Residential Childcare Worker - Hertfordshire - Up to £29K
Here at Hampton's we are working in close partnership with a well-established and prestigious residential services provider who are looking for an experienced Residential Childcare Worker to join their team in opening their BRAND NEW 3 bed home for young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire! Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with children and young people both individually and when required, as a group, to fulfil all the tasks outlined in their care plans in line with agreed timescales
- Ensure the timely completion of all records, assessments and reports in line with the Company's policies, procedures, and practices
- Model and promote respect for the caregiving environment, taking a lead in the practical tasks required to look after a home, e.g., cooking, cleaning, gardening etc
- Attend all meetings as required to support children and young people and/or advocate for them to ensure that their voice is heard and best outcomes achieved
- Work in partnership with social workers, education, police, health, probation, and all other professionals in line with children's needs and interests
Skills and Experiences:
- 1 year minimum experience working with children, ideally in a residential care setting
- Must be willing and able to achieve or hold the NVQ Level 4 Diploma for Residential Childcare or an equivalent
- Good written and verbal communication
- Commitment to respectful, positive parenting in a diverse community
- Good understanding of safeguarding children procedures
Salary: Up to £29K (including sleep-ins)
