SENCO - Special Educational Needs Coordinator – Full time – Lewisham

Salary Range: Upper – Leadership Scale plus SEN allowance £53,482 +
Working Days: 5 days a week (full time, permanent)
Start Date: September 2024
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, innovative and inspirational teacher with the passion and enthusiasm to fulfil a key role in the school as our SENDCo. The SENDCo leads our SEND Team, working in close partnership with parents and carers and is confident in liaising with a wide range of external professionals. We are looking for someone who is passionately committed to inclusive education, and who can ensure that all of our students have access to the whole curriculum, make excellent progress and have their individual needs met.
This post would suit somebody who is an experienced and fully qualified SENDCo or someone who is currently completing their NASENCO. They should demonstrate a commitment to collaboration as they will work with the WMAT Director of SEND, our Leadership Team as well as the wider SEND team. Together, they will lead and grow our school’s SEND Support to ensure our provision is outstanding.
The role is based out of class and involves leading of achievement for children in vulnerable groups including children with SEND.
Our small 2 form entry Primary School is a popular and over-subscribed school where children are happy and achieve well. The high quality of teaching and learning leads to consistently high levels of attainment, and children of all abilities and backgrounds are welcomed and nurtured.
We are looking for a strong practitioner with experience of leading SEN provision with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues and who is passionate about raising standards and life chances for all children.
