An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our happy, thriving school. We are looking for an inspiring SENDCo who is passionate about inclusive education and high standards for all pupils to join our hard working, dedicated and welcoming team. This is a non-class based role, however an element of teaching will be required. The successful candidate will support the leadership team in coordinating the strategic direction and continuing the development and provision of SEND education within the school.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is an outstanding practitioner
• Is innovative and inspirational
• Has a sound knowledge of the SEND code of practice
• Has excellent people skills and the ability to lead, motivate and support children and colleagues
• Can work effectively with all stakeholders, particularly parents
• Has excellent communication skills and works well with a supportive team.
• Has time management skills; having the ability to prioritise their workload.
• Holds QTS and works to high professional standards at all times
You will need to hold the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCo the mandatory qualification) or be willing to start the training immediately.
