Established since 1981, the business has enjoyed steady growth driven by a committed and highly skilled workforce of over 110 employees.The Role:As the Senior CAD Technician, you’ll join the close-knit team within a welcoming and relaxed office, working with other Technicians and Engineers across a wide variety of schemes within the rail, nuclear and building sectors.Your duties will include, although not be limited to:Drawing and detailing of civil and structural schemes with Microstation 3D and AutoCADLiaising with the team to ensure drawings are representative of the Engineer’s designsDrawing reviews and checking of schemes prepared by others in the teamMentoring Junior TechniciansManaging projectsWhat will I need to be considered for this Senior CAD Technician (Microstation) vacancy?Proven experience as a CAD Technician working with 3D Microstation / AecosimWorking within Projectwise, with knowledge of Network Rail or HS2 document control processWorking knowledge of UK industry standards and processesEligibility to work in the UK and a high standard of written EnglishAlthough not essential, the following would be advantageous:HNC in Construction and the Built Environment (or similar)Knowledge of the civil, structural, rail, bridge and temporary works sectorsKnowledge of AutoCADKnowledge of BIM Level 2Experience of producing GAs from 3D topographical surveys and steel and reinforced concrete detailingWhat will I receive in return?As a Senior Technician, you will receive a salary in the region of £25,000 to £40,000 level dependent on experience and qualifications, plus a range of attractive benefits including:25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off, with option to purchase up to 5 additional days holiday per yearCompany performance-related bonus schemePrivate healthcareCycle to Work SchemeMatched pension scheme of up to 5%Casual attire and a relaxed and comfortable working environmentYou’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working 40 hours per week.
