Overseeing the project lifecycle of challenging customer projects, you will resolve technical and business problems, ensure compliance with relevant standards, develop, plan and manage implementation as well as provide overall leadership to team leads and guide less experienced project managers.
You will be able to overcome the widest range of problems and maximize customer satisfaction, and the additional role of EMEA Services Resourcing Manager will bring an operational element to your work (managing resources and finance), enabling you to demonstrate your all-round leadership and project management skills.
Requirements
To work at this level, you will have a verifiable track record of the successful management and delivery of highly complex projects and programs in a software environment, a strong commercial understanding combined with project management expertise working within a consulting organisation, and an in-depth understanding of processes, workflows and business factors for commercial organisations. You will be self-driven and self-motivated, with strong matrix management skills and be highly adept at building effective relationships within a virtual team. As the successful candidate you will be able to work independently and to deadlines yet also be a highly visible team player partnering with and developing excellent internal and external relationships up to and including VP level within global organisations. Travel will play a part in this role and will include overnight stays, so applicants should be willing and able to travel regularly throughout Europe and further afield when required. In terms of qualifications, you will need a degree and probably a project management qualification, such as PMP or PRINCE2. Your written and spoken English have to be perfect to enable you to exert the level of influence we require. Expertise in scientific (IT) domains such as bio or chemo-informatics and statistics would be an advantage.
