If you are passionate about helping organizations meet their potential, Talogy is the right place for you.RoleThe Senior Software Engineer role is within a team responsible for some of the web-based platforms that our clients use to manage their hiring process and deliver online assessments. The role involves supporting, maintaining, improving, and onward developing the existing platforms. The platforms are mostly .Net based with various technologies used across the different platforms. The team uses Agile methodologies, adapting them to best fit the team and works as part of a wider department supported by Devops, Scrum Masters and Product Managers.This role can be either based in our Guildford office, or remote based, with the team meeting up once every couple of months or so in the Guildford office for the day.Job Duties· Collaborate as part of an Agile team to design, develop, and maintain your team’s software.· Collaborate with the team and Product Management to prioritize and plan necessary technical debt remediation and refactoring.· Collaborate with the Customer Experience team to support clients as necessary.· Collaborate with the product team and development community of practice to review and discuss new technologies, architectural designs, and coding standards / best practices.Qualifications· 3+ years of work experience in a Software Engineering role.· Prior experience with C# asp.net, HTML, CSS and JavaScript libraries (React, Angular, etc.).· Practical experience with relational databases and SQL.· Relevant experience developing software using Object Oriented principles and design patterns.· Teamwork and collaboration – be willing to share your thoughts and seek ideas and feedback from others in return.· High degree of intellectual curiosity - you constantly think about how we can improve our process and produce excellent high-quality solutions for our customers.· Passion for creating high quality software solutions and a willingness to hold both yourself and your team accountable for delivering them.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.· Experience with Azure would be a plus.· MVC, WPF, .NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework experience would be a plus.· Experience with Agile development practices (Scrum or Kanban) would be a plus.
