Service Centre Supervisor / Workshop Supervisor – UK Location: Huntingdon, UK Reporting to National Service Manager, UK This is a Full-Time Office Based role in Huntingdon Office (Monday to Friday 09.00 am to 17.00 hrs). Are you a Service Engineer looking to progress into a team leadership role, where you can be close to home, whilst continuing to be hands on? Or perhaps you have been a team leader of an internal Bench / Workshop function in medical devices? The Service team supports customers with their engineering requirements. The Service Centre Supervisor helps Mindray to provide a professional technical service for all workshop related activities in accordance with established National Service policies and procedures. Additionally, they serve as a technical resource to support service activities both in house and in the field throughout the UK. Responsibilities: Takes ownership of the day-to-day running of the Service Centre and all activities within it. Leading a team of 3 in the bench technician area based in Huntingdon Provides technical service support on the inspection, repair, and calibration of Mindray products for customers within Nation-wide. Respond to customer calls during office hours, Monday to Friday. Maintains positive, professional communications with customers, and service team members. Maintains accurate records of own spare parts inventory, workshop tools, test equipment and loan devices. Ensuring all test equipment and tools remain in full working condition. Maintains local spare parts safety stock with guidance from the Spare Parts Centre. Assisting the Service Manager with the updating and control of the Test equipment calibration record in accordance with our ISO registration. Assists the Service Manager with workshop processes and procedures in accordance with our ISO registration. May include training of technical staff, both internally and externally, on designated equipment. Makes decisions based on company policies and procedures. Discusses and refers unresolved workshop service issues with the Service Manager. Operates a hands-on mentoring approach to all Service centre employees, carrying out any set training plans. Assists the Service Manager in developing and maintaining a set technical training schedule for external Technicians/Engineers. Assists with Field based Field Safety Notices and works in conjunction with the Service Manager and Field Service Supervisors to ensure timely completion. Acts as an Ambassador for change. Provides a weekly report to the Service Manager based on the provided template. Other tasks or responsibilities designated by the Service Manager. What are we looking for in you? Experience of working in a Service function, happy to be based in the office in Huntingdon, managing a team of 2 Logical and strategic planning mindset. Good analytical skills to drive the function to continued success through data Strong written and verbal English skills are essential. Technically proficient in the troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of Electronic Medical equipment, or demonstrate experience in working on similar electronic equipment. Customer-oriented, with good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Well-organized in workshop facilities, including supervision of workshop technician’s and apprentices. Well-organised, able to function independently with minimum supervision. Must be familiar with computer and office software. Ability to work in UK without the requirement of company sponsorship.
