With recent funding approved in line with the new financial year – we’ve been given the green light to help recruit experienced social workers into a well-run authority based in South Wales. Primary purpose for this funding is to keep existing cases and workloads low by recruiting experienced Assessment Social Workers – ideally based in and around South Wales.
SPOC is a multi – agency team made up of 5 hubs including IIAA (Integrated information advice and assistance hub), ISH (Integrated safeguarding hub) FWT (family well being team), DAH (Domestic abuse hub) and CMET hub (contextual, missing, trafficked and exploited hub). These Hubs have a shared purpose of assisting children, young people and families in South Wales to live happy, healthy and safe lives with help from the right people at the right time if and when they need it.
SPOC also has multi-disciplinary representation from early help staff with expertise in young people’s services, youth offending, CAMHS, IFFS, CDT, Health and Education.
When families, members of the public or professionals contact SPOC they speak to a qualified Social Worker who talks to them to understand what matters, provides information, advice and assistance and agrees personal outcomes with them to identify the right support at the right time.
