Description Freelance Site Agent / Civils Site Manager - outside IR35 We have a new requirement for a Consultant Site Manager to start ASAP initially for around 30 weeks in the Worcestershire and Gloucestershire area. Experience in flood alleviation schemes, Flood walls, flood gates, embankment raising, construction of new embankments, sheet piling, refurbishment of pumping stations, debris screen replacement. Works stream is predominately for the Environment agency, Canals and River trust and Lower Severn internal drainage board. Works stream specifically located in the area between Worcestershire and Gloucestershire Someone located within these areas is preferred. Potential Work streams Desilting contract • Removing silt from culverts. • Condition survey’s • Reports to the client • Repair any defects. Asset recondition design and build. • Sheet piling • Embankment rebuilding • Rock armour (revetment) • Repair and rebuild flood walls. • Construction of new outfalls • Raising and realigning defences High risk debris screens. • Removal and replacement of debris screens. • Minor Civils works. Necessary for RoleDesirable for Role CSCSTW co-ordinator SMSTSFire warden. 3-day first aidSome lifting competency I: E slinger signaller or lift supervisor TW supervisor SKILLS REQUIRED (Please list in order of importance) Technical SkillsPeople Skills To be able to read construction drawings To be able to work as part of a site team To be able to produce method statements and risk assessmentsWe require a driven and motivated individual Complete hand over documentation including the H&S file. To be able to build a good relationship with the client. Plan and programme the works, provide a two week look aheadTo be able to communicate well with the public (we work in some very public areas) Computer and SharePoint literate. Preferable if the candidate has some experience of design and build works.
