Job summary
We are seeking a full time, permanent, Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language therapist to work in our supportive preschool and school aged services.
We are looking for a self-motivated therapist who is passionate about providing high quality services and excellent health outcomes to children, young people, and their families. We are seeking someone with a dynamic approach, who can work collaboratively and effectively with others within both the SLT team and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the preschool and school aged teams within schools and settings across Gwynedd and Anglesey.
The SLT preschool and school aged team is committed to evidence-based practice and continuing professional development. Regular team meetings and regular supervision ensure that a high quality of service is provided, and the post holder will contribute to the development of a service which is constantly seeking to improve.
The population of Gwynedd and Anglesey is naturally bilingual and education services are provided bilingually in Welsh and English. A bilingual Welsh/English speaker would therefore be ideal, but a Welsh language learner would also be supported to learn Welsh once appointed to this post.
