What will I be doing?
You will join our Supply Chain Graduate Development Program which is crafted to attract top performing talent who have recently graduated from a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or similar field. In this role you will provide process improvement projects, focusing on ways to propel Smith+Nephew forward while also advancing your own career!
The program will include rotations through the various areas of global supply chain as well as personal professional development opportunities over a 2-year period. You will work with peers with wide-ranging strengths across divisions, functions, cultures and reporting levels to accomplish your assignments. You will be learning the Smith + Nephew supply chain business processes, supporting systems as well as the various improvement objectives contained in the Global Supply Chain strategy. You will need to be flexible and receptive to change as each rotation will be intended to develop new skills and abilities.
Responsibilities:
Move through the Global Supply Chain department in different dotation areas which will include assignments in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management & Analytics, Procurement, Distribution, and Manufacturing.
Participate in a variety of professional development opportunities during rotation aimed at familiarising you with Smith+Nephew and the medical device industry.
Partner with a peer adviser who will provide support in various aspects of working at Smith+Nephew and coach you in goal setting whilst ensuring you are successfully progressing through the rotational program.
Create presentations, perform analytics, or other tasks that can be presented to director level managers.
Develop a basic understanding of relevant compliance, GxP and Quality Systems standards and specifically FDA Quality System Regulations.
What will you need to be successful?
Our successful candidate will have the minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics or similar subject. They will have proven leadership skills either from their academic studies or their working background and will be a strong communicator capable of expressing their points across cross-functional teams and the ability to influence others. The ability to analyse data and present it to senior leaders is a must, as well as assessing technical issues and develop an analytical approach to problem solving.
