Job summary
The Tug Master is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessels whilst at sea or alongside and reports directly to the Marine Superintendent.
Your role will include responsibility for monitoring the maintenance of the vessel and ensuring that it remains in compliance with Class and Flag State requirements.
You will be proficient with operating the vessel in all weathers and managing the crew and their day-to-day activities.
You will actively participate in regular reviews of the safety management system and work closely with the shoreside management team to continuously improve the safety culture.
You will fully understand the operating principles of the vessel in relation to stability, watertight integrity, ship construction, FFA, LSA, towing equipment and limitations.
This position will require you to undertake work on a week on week off basis.
Skills and Qualifications
Hold a valid STCW 95 II/3 Master Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Senior Deck officer.
IOSH certification
Valid STCW certification
Valid ENG1 certification

Due to the nature of this role, you must either live within 1 hrs travelling distance from the Port of Dover or be willing to stay locally in the company provided accommodation.
