Delivery Lead (Data Analytics & Automation)
Location: Virtual working (Occasional travel to London or Corby, Northants)
We’re looking for an experienced Scrum Master and Delivery Lead to join our dedicated Agile team focused on delivering both strategic projects within the Data Analytics and Automation space, and supporting the business with ongoing BAU requests to leverage our current data capabilities.
The team is on an exciting journey of transformation, re-platforming key data technologies as well as implementing new governance, service, and delivery offerings. It’s expected that the Delivery Lead role will work with 1-2 squads, each containing around 6-7 team members consisting of cross-functional development capability.
You’ll be the Agile conscience of the team. Coaching and guiding team members, and driving an ongoing agile maturity and improved ways of working, to deliver business goals and outcomes.
What you can expect to be doing:
Working closely with stakeholders, ensuring business needs are explored, captured, analysed and verified so that the solutions designed and delivered meet the objectives of our change initiatives and standards of the Group. Supporting the embedding of exceptional data and analytical skills and expertise across the Group, to drive agility, insight discovery and experimentation, as close to the customer as possible. Prioritisation and iterative agile releases that deliver new product development & features – focusing on delivering highest value and risk mitigation where necessary. To do this the successful candidate will engage closely with key stakeholders (such as projects and programmes), use insights such as industry best practice, strategic direction, analytics and customer feedback. Managing stakeholder communications including plans, prioritisation decisions, rationale for changes Manage delivery through Scrum methodologies. Ensure co-ordination of sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups Coach team members in Agile frameworks as needed Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration including dependencies and critical path actions and bottlenecks. Be a point of contact for external delivery communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders) Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the delivery and enjoy working on it Define and drive the end-to-end delivery of sprints and the definition of done for solutions for GDA&A Focus on achieving your delivery goals. Ensure impediments are anticipated, addressed, owned & resolved by the team or yourself or escalation as needed, to ensure dependencies and critical path are managed. Ensure the sprint goals are delivered and the Definition of Done & Definition of Ready are successfully met across sprints. Create the metrics needed to be able to improve the ways of working including the sprint planning estimation, and the capacity of the team What we are looking for from you:
Certified Scrum Master or equivalent Kanban accreditation e.g. Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM) or Professional Scrum Master Level 2 (PSM2). Significant experience of being a Scrum Master / Agile Team Lead, with an ability to coach others, and raise the Agile maturity of a team. An understanding of how data analytics and applications are utilised within a large, customer-focused organisation. Interpersonal & relationship building skills, able to work at all levels of the organisation, across functions, geographies and cultures.
