Our client is a leading high street brand and specialises in Women's, Men's & Children's fashion. They are seeking an employment lawyer to join their team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract due to up-coming maternity leave. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain great in-house exposure or existing in-house lawyer seeking a new challenge! We currently have another lawyer in the commercial team (3) covering a maternity leave and they are thoroughly enjoying the culture, sense of community and work they are getting involved in. Overall, they are welcoming and highly collaborative bunch and seeking a friendly and engaging person to join them as their employment counsel. To summarise: You would be the key person handling broad employment legal matters. The others in the team are commercial lawyers. The role reports into the Head of Legal but your key stakeholders with be the HR, People and culture Team and will involve supporting and building strong relationships with stakeholders in this team and beyond at all levels. The 3 key elements of the role are: Employment tribunals (this is mostly handled in-house with support of chambers when needed, Employment contracts & Employment advisory work. Overall, you will be exposed to broad employment matters and be the main point of contact for this area of law. Salary: Up to £75,000- £85,000 + £5,000 car allowance. (Highly dependent on experience and level of PQE) - Please contact for more information on salary banding if the role sounds of interest.
