Job title: Senior Project Manager, Distribution Migration ProgrammeReports to: CFO/COOLocation: Remote / flexible location, with some travel to central London offices for workshops or specific project meetings.Working pattern: Part-time, c. 2 days a week / 12-month term.Department: Operations.Salary range: Competitive.General Summary:Bonnier Books UK (“BBUK”) is one of the UK’s leading publishers.BBUK is looking for a senior project manager to manage the migration of its third-party distribution services, from its existing partner (Grantham Books Services) to its new partner (Macmillan Distribution, target go-live: Spring 2025). The successful candidate will have a distribution background and have led similar projects in the past. The project will encompass inventory logistics migration as well as data integrations, reporting and system readiness planning.Key responsibilities:Create and manage high-level and low-level project plan, aligned & in-sync with new distribution partner’s plan.Ensure the plan is well understood by all stakeholders, including their part in delivering the project successfully.Ensure we track against the plan and any delays/issues are flagged & actively managed to ensure target go-live date is achieved.Clear reporting on progress via steering committee meetings, including deliverables, owners and tracked actions/activities.Anticipate and manage risks & unblock problems as they arise.Highlight key decisions & facilitate those discussions.Establish direct & regular contact with new distribution partner’s project team.Qualifications and Experience:Distribution/ logistics background (publishing industry preferred).Proven success in similar scale migrations.Strong project management experience.Excellent communication skills.
